  • Data Breaches
  • Brute Force Attacks
  • KeyloggingMalware.
  • Session Hijacking
  • Account Takeover via Third-party Apps
  • Password Guessing

Let me explain all the methods i have listed above.

  1. Phishing: Phishing is a technique in which hackers build phony websites or emails that resemble the actual ones, such as Facebook’s login page or emails. These perplexing notifications frequently require you to provide your login credentials or personal information.Once you enter your information on this bogus website, the hackers will have access to it and can use it to get access to your account. Phishing attacks use social engineering approaches to trick consumers into believing the bogus communication.
  2. Malware: Malware, often known as malicious software, refers to a wide range of dangerous programs designed to infiltrate and damage computers or networks. When it comes to hacking Facebook accounts, malware can include keyloggers, spyware, or Trojans that stealthily install themselves on your system. Keyloggers, for example, capture every keystroke you make, including your Facebook login information, which the hacker can subsequently obtain.
  3. Social Engineering: Social engineering is the practice of tricking someone into disclosing personal information or doing activities that jeopardize security. Hackers may use social engineering techniques to lure users into exposing their Facebook passwords or other information by impersonating a trustworthy institution or using emotions such as fear or curiosity. Kali Linux, Windows, and Termux are examples of social engineering operating systems.
  4. Weak Passwords: Weak passwords are those that can be easily guessed or cracked using automated technologies. Hackers can exploit weak passwords by employing tactics such as dictionary attacks or brute force attacks, in which they repeatedly try different combinations of characters until they locate the right one. Commonly used weak passwords include basic words, phrases, or sequences such as “password” or “123456.”
  5. Data Breaches: Data breaches happen when hackers obtain unauthorized access to a database or system that contains sensitive information, such as usernames and passwords. If you reuse passwords across several accounts, your Facebook account may be compromised if another service you use experiences a data breach and your login details are revealed.
  6. Brute Force Attacks: Brute force attacks require repeatedly testing all possible password combinations until the correct one is discovered. Although time-consuming, these attacks are successful against weak passwords. Hackers may employ automated programs to carry out brute force assaults, taking use of processing power to rapidly cycle through a large number of password combinations.
  7. Keylogging Malware: Keylogging malware is a sort of malicious software that logs all keystrokes made on an infected device. This includes usernames, passwords, and any other sensitive data entered by the user. Once the hacker has retrieved the logged data, they can use it to get access to your Facebook or other internet accounts.
  8. Session Hijacking: Session hijacking is the process of intercepting session cookies, which are used by websites to authenticate users after they log in. By stealing these cookies, hackers can spoof the user’s session and obtain access to their account without requiring a password. This method is especially useful for insecure networks or hacked devices.
  9. Account Takeover via Third-party Apps: If you provided rights to third-party apps or services using your Facebook account, hackers might use those apps’ weaknesses to obtain access to your Facebook account. This could happen if a third-party app mishandles your login information or has a security breach that exposes your Facebook credentials to unauthorized actors.
  10. Password Guessing: Password guessing is the attempt to guess a user’s password using personal information or popular passwords. Hackers may use information about you from social media profiles, public documents, or data breaches to make informed guesses at your password. If successful, they will have access to your Facebook account without the use of advanced hacking tools.
How to avoid or prevent hackers from hacking your Facebook Account.

1.When opening accounts you must avoid username that anyone can guess or password that any one can guess. For example people from Pakistan , India, and South Africa often uses their username as their number , then their password as their number as well.

You see whenever you managed to get their username you have gotten their Facebook.

But if you use strong username and password nobody would be able to guess your password.

2. Always monitored the url you are entering. For example if you are to enter Facebook.Facebook url is facebook.com so any thing greater than this you should not enter your details.

Always clear your cache or report the page ASAP. The fake Facebook url might be like this facebook.com.io then when enter it

Or rather make sure you download Facebook from the Play store or apple store.

3.You are always hacked by the person close to you or your relative .9% of all the hacks are done by your close friends. So monitor your phone and always remember to put your phone on password.

4.Two step authentication is very important, put your app on two step authentication because this will stop any malicious activities on your facebook.

5. Avoid logging in using someone’s phone , when ever you can only use the incognito space on your chrome if you must log in using another person phone.

6.Avoid giving code to random people if message is sent to you requesting a code from you.

7.Always monitor the url you’re logging in as mentioned earlier on.
